Fast food as done a great deal too many people in the obesity world we now live in. The narrator described Carl was chocking and I believe suffering from his own fat. Carl had a small incision where he would he get his food fed into. Carl also had gained so much weight it opened one of his wounds. McDonalds I would use best for an example because advertising it so much and building a restaurant on every corner block you come across can only make a person tempted
Although McDonalds is very affordable it comes with very much a bigger price. The more addicting the food may be and the more a person eats it, you will see how much it will affect your body in just a little as a month provide by the brief movie “super size me” it shows how fatty the food may be . It raises your cholesterol to a point where you can catch a heart attack. It can cause you to be obesity and from obsessed you can experience many health conditions such as high blood pressure, heart attack, diabetes type 2 etc.
It was very informing to me because I do have high cholesterol and at times I would have to miss class because it will cause me severe chest pain. I didn’t realize that I trying to cut down fast food was not enough to lower it and fast food can cause so much more than just minor chest pain.

Arguementive thesis :
With one mind set of “Balance of power and gaining profit for self interest , has turned our government to make decisions based on “what is best for the people” . Allowing little to no vote or knowledge that the people have with corporations and head of government making decisions, leaves the people wondering whether or not if the right decisions are actually made.
In the reading “crude world” there was a small passage that combines both Balance of power and Gaining profit for self interest. “American companies with investment in Africa were present at a luncheon that was actually held at a army and navy club.” At this luncheon there were oil executives and senior department officials including secretary of state for Africa affairs Walter kansteiner .
With so much people at power making trades and decisions for the U.S and trades, it leaves the people too little to no knowledge that this luncheon even took place. It clearly explains how the balance of power can over through the people vote decisions. Although government and foreign trades can both benefit and destroy us as a whole, these decisions and voices are heard and taken place from those that are in higher power. With self interest of gaining profit, balance of power and supply and demand, now corporations are turning what we call today a democracy into a democracy that is self interest of money and power.
Where might the decisions on “freedom of speech and the right to have our voices heard and opinions taken into consideration have gone? This leaves us to know that balance of power and the government control has over the people. Corporations are now gaining the same rights as government and those who are in power; it is now left to think about more than just our needs as a country. It is now based on where we can get the cheapest fastest and most profitable material.
Decisions are now made from what is best for the country and how the U.S. can profit from another country. Whether its food, oil, stocks and even material. It’s no longer become a globalization it’s more of coming to an agreement with taxes raised and trades. Nations are now looking passed the choice of war. Now government and officials are looking at how we can benefit from one another using more than money.
With corporations now taking the role of government, a different approach has been taken. Our food has also become more business than safety. Animals have now been called profit material.

"insatiable demand “.
The connections that I found between the resource wars reading and fast food nation were many. The major connections between both were the chapter in resource wars “ The connection is without oil, we can no longer produce the gas and other resources to genetically enhance the crops. The mentality of needing the oil at the very moment and needing the burger at the very same moment .

enjoy oil while we have it now .......
Studies show that oil should be gone by the year of 2020.Although some of us may recycle and try to do what is best for our earth, there is still studies that show that what our actions has pushed the oil supply to fall further and further below our standard needs .

"stroking"
In fast food nation Scholessor mentions in the chapter “behind the counter’’ page 74 explains how managers are “stroking” there employess . stroking is used in this term as to reassure the employess that there doing a great job . making the employess feel even thought there getting paid minium wage they are being ecnoknowlege for there great work and they can t be replaced. This keeps the employess motivated and positive about the situation . its also a corrupted way to eat into the mind of the employee without involing money into the situation or imposeing an illegal form.
This method of “stroking” was used in speech of peter lowe “success authority “ when he states how far you can come with a small business and move forward. It wants to help people achieve success irrespective of their different backgrounds and nationality. He wants people to push and believe that anything is possible if you keep moving forward He relates himself tto the audience which make the audience believe they too can achieve great .
shock doctrine
shock doctrine from wiki
the definition of shock doctrine original definition The Rise of Disaster Capitalism is a 2007 book by Canadian author Naomi Klein, and is the basis of a 2009 documentary by the same name.[1]
The book argues that the free market policies of Nobel Laureate Milton Friedman have risen to prominence in some countries because they were pushed through while the citizens were reacting to disasters or upheavals. It is implied that some man-made crises, such as the Falklands war, may have been created with the intention of being able to push through these unpopular reforms in their wake.
begins with a chapter on psychiatric shock therapy and the covert experiments conducted by the psychiatrist Ewen Cameron in collusion with the Central Intelligence Agency: how it was partially successful in distorting and regressing patients' original personality, but ineffectual in developing a better personality to replace it. Parallels with economic shock therapy are made, including a digression on how government agencies harnessed some of the lessons learned to create more effective torture techniques. Torture, according to Klein, has often been an essential tool for authorities who have implemented aggressive free market reforms – this assertion is stressed throughout the book
.
My definition of the shock doctrine was a handbook. years ago people used electric objects to shock people and put them in child like stages .the idea was to make people vonavreble to follow and depend on leaders to protect them . when people are a a stage of shock and panic its easier to pursue them into things they wouldnt do. now the "shock doctrine" has a new method with electricity. the method that political leaders and those in charge take advantage of crisis for example the tsunami , earth quakes wars . leaders use these terrible incidents to push policies that they would know people that are not in the state of shock would e support or follow . Milton freedman was known for this specific movement . this was also called as a secrete "free market " which was to speak about policies and imply new laws.
